Has anyone ever heard of car brakes making a shafty sort of noise after driving in dirty water.? or should i?

have the brakes checked (I will) someone told me this could very well be the cause of my brakes sounding like sand paper rubbing together. The kicker is 6hrs latter i went outside just to look and see if i noticed any changes to the car from the outside of the tire and test drive it again and guess what the noise was gone.so is this mimiking the need for brake repair or dirty water can cause brakes can make noise other than the loud squeky noise.|||The materials used in both brake pads and rotors are very susceptible to making noise. When the brakes are hot and you hit a puddle it can cause the pads to become hard, and the rotors to get a %26quot;glaze%26quot; over them. Scuffing the pads and rotors with a light sanding wheel may help. Inexpensive brake pads are always going to make noise also. Also high metal content pads, such as the ones on police cars, can make a lot of noise when hot.
