I've just bought a Citroen xsara diesel and the car has developed a terrible judder on the brakes?

when i bought the car their wasnt a judder then just recently it became really bad its had new brake pads and new brake discs also we changed the tyres and it hasnt helped their isnt any slack in any ball joints or rubbers any where on the car. is there a common fault or is it just on mine. does anyone else have the same problem and how did they cure it?

This is almost always due to runout on the brake rotors--they become warped from overheating. But since you say they're new, you might also check the lower control arm bushings.

Check if the brake discs were replaced before, and make sure the replacements are originals. Also check the brake pads, they must be original or officially approved (Valeo, Citroen or Peugeot).

Last, check the suspensions.
