Is it hard to change the front brakes on a 90 Honda civic?

I bought this run around car and it needs new front brakes. Is it possible to change the front brakes myself? Or is it too hard? If it is possible how do I find out how to do it?

Thanks in advance for any answers:)

You could change your front brakes in about 30 minutes, it is a very simple procedure, and you can purchase a Haynes, or Chilton's repair manual for your particular car for about 20 bucks, my only advice is to buy the high grade brake pads, don't buy bargain brake pads or you'll find that they begin to fade very quickly on long downhill grades, if you don't know what fade means, it means when you push on the brake pedal and the pads get hot their stopping ability fades until they don't work at all, just buy quality pads and a repair manual and you'll do just fine.Hope this helps.

Front brakes are just about the easiest repair there is. If you have some basic hand tools, you can fix the brakes. You will save yourself some real money, and you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself.
No, it is super easy, but super easy to make a mistake and then have an accident which if traced to your home brake work will result in substantive legal action against you and all of your worldly possesions.

There are many things that can go wrong and many tolerances that must be measured that the home DIY person lacks the special tools and training to do. Your call but the risk is real.
