I have a 2001 chrysler 300m.do this car have front brakes or back brakes,i want to change the brake pads?

your car has disc brakes on the front and drums on the back. the front pads usually come off quite easy with hex head socket to remove the 2 bolts, good luck on the back drums I usually have to beat on them with a hammer or heat them to get the rust to let go on the hub

There are brakes on all 4 tyres, if you wish to not have to fork out fir 4 new pads, get your local mechanic to check which ones are worn down the most (front or back) and replace them

Cheers

Yes. It has front and rear, all four tires have brakes. Usually pads in the front and drum brakes in the rear, but not always.
they have front brake pads the back could be pads or shoes

All cars have front and rear brake systems you need to buy yourself a good service manual on that vehicle it will help you quite a bit in the long run.
Yes it has brakes on both ends of car! Almost any car ever made in last 85 years had brakes on front and back, -- exception is my Model %26quot;T%26quot; Ford which really has only a %26quot;parking brake%26quot; on rear wheels! It has the %26quot; brake band%26quot; inside transmission on drive shaft, - which in turn provides some braking on rear wheels! But at 38mph, it doesn't have to be fantastic to stop!

If you have not changed any brakes on this car from new -- most likely it only needs fronts, as 60% or more of braking occurs on front! So rear brakes last about 3 times as long as fronts!

You can check brake pads by removing front wheels and looking at brake pads to see how much is left!

If you want to do it yoursef, it is fairly easy, as long as you have right tools.... You can buy excellent manual by Haynes for your type and model, - lots of auto supply stores have them. I use these only -- if I have a choice!! This one will give good step by step illustrated instructions!!

If you are a girl, -- charm some guy into doing it!
they have brakes on the front and back. if you want to know if it has rear disc brakes then look through the back wheels and see if there are rotors. if it got rotors then it had pads on the back.
