What brand of brakes are recommended for a 2005 Nissan Altima?

Instead of paying too much at Nissan maintenance center, I know someone that is capable of changing brake pads. What type work best for my car?

the recommended brakes for the car are factory nissan pads and rotors.

It depends on which auto supply place you go to. PepBoys carries ProStop and I've used them on my Acura, Honda, Lexus and they seem to work just fine. Just make sure you get a %26quot;premium%26quot; pad rather than the cheaper pads.

If you want to treat yourself, then Brembo makes one of the best brake parts (pad, rotors, calipers, etc.).
The brake rotors are around 40 at Autozone and the pads are 30 both with a lifetime warranty. There just as good but cost less. Good Luck and GOD Bless
